Kiwanis StoryWalk® Passport Challenge!

Locations: Meriden Linear Trail/Dossin Beach, Hubbard Park, Meriden Green, City Park, Habershon Park

StoryWalks® are fun, educational activities that place children’s stories along popular walking routes in the community. Kiwanis challenges kids and families to read 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or all 6 of its StoryWalks® in Meriden parks on Saturday, July 20, 2024 between 9:00am and 12:00pm! The StoryWalks® are in English and Spanish.

Participants will receive a paper passport for the challenge. For each StoryWalk® they read, kids will receive a sticker for their passport, a small prize (while supplies last), and one entry into the grand prize drawing. Kiwanis members will be at each StoryWalk® to distribute stickers, prizes, and drawing entry forms.

Grand Prizes

Participants will receive one entry into our Grand Prize Drawing for each StoryWalk® they read! Prizes include:

  • 7-week session of group swim lessons at the Meriden YMCA
  • Free kiddie cone with sprinkles from Les’ Dairy Bar
  • One large cheese pizza from Casa di Roma
  • Copy of Stewie the Duck Learns to Swim book
