Education Awards

Kiwanis Club of Meriden’s Education Awards annually recognize high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and school activities. Academic performance and financial need are also taken into consideration. Graduating high school seniors living in Meriden are eligible to apply and recipients are recognized in the spring.

Applications for 2024 Kiwanis Education Awards are due on March 15, 2024.

The Kiwanis Club of Meriden’s Education Awards program was established in 1952 and since then, the club has presented 240 awards totaling $253,200.

Kiwanis Club of Meriden is thrilled to announce our donation of a Lettuce Grow hydroponic garden to the Meriden Public Library! This new garden will introduce library patrons of all ages to the magic of hydroponic gardening and cultivating vegetables, herbs, flowers, and more indoors.

Join us for our unveiling and ribbon cutting this Thursday, April 11 at 6:30pm in Room 6 at the Library! Briana Gardner, horticulturist and house plant expert at The Lil' Plant Shop, will join us to talk about hydroponic gardening.
